Lake Forest Beach Stairs
seem easy enough for todays challenge.
yesterday I went up and down twelve times.
The first few times I was running, no problem.
The burn started setting in and movement
was slower and slower.
I met Jim and his English Sheepdog
while trying to beat yesterdays record.
He suggested, "twenty will be all you need."
OK, so be it!
wow this truly was mind over matter
no longer feeling tired or in pain just
numb. I ran into Jim again on my
seventeenth run and he said, "Walter Payton
ran these stairs."
I did it,
TWENTY!
